27% and 88% on the matoe meters.

So I just got back from double Dakota day. Overall it was pretty decent. Push was no Man On Fire, but was slightly more creative than the traditional Hollywood fair. You can expect the insanity and convoluted pace director Paul McGuigan put in Lucky Number Sleven. The critics gave it an abysmal 27%, but what do they know. Dakota with long blonde hair and pink highlights and sh*t? (She swears at least twice in the movie!) Can’t go wrong with that. Overall the movie didn’t require much from Dakota, she just walked around Hong Kong, sometimes aimlessly, which no emotional connections with any character lasting more than 5 seconds. She would have been better off doing something like Swing Vote, although I must admit that Madeline Carroll did an excellent job. Then we have Coraline, no Caroline. It’s in 3D! The 3D effects are interesting, but still too gimmicky. Only 3 or so scenes really took advantage of the effect, but it’s much better than the red and blue film days or the last Superbowl. Coraline very much reminisce the story of Alice in Wonderland in a slightly more modern setting. I found it quite scary as the characters got really gruesome in the end. Shuddup, you’d probably find it scary too. I’m sure kids are going to have nightmares like me tonight. Voice acting was simply specular. Overall two movies, double dose of Dakota, could have been better.

PS. I had organic rabbit for lunch today, it was surprisingly tasty.
